Self-drive or a chauffeur
Most people know which they want. This is for the day that could go either way.
Take the car yourself if the pleasure is the drive: the Palm in the evening, Hatta, a weekend with nowhere to be. Hotels in Dubai know how to receive a car. You will not be hunting for a side street.
Take a chauffeur if the day is a sequence — a flight, two meetings, dinner, a late return. The cost of a driver is usually smaller than the cost of arriving distracted. It is also the right answer if your licence will not satisfy the insurer.
A sports car can be enjoyed for the afternoon and a saloon or SUV used for the rest. You do not have to choose one mood for the whole week. Say both, and the desk keeps them on one booking.
On a yacht day, a chauffeur for the transfer to the marina is the piece people forget. Mention it. The boat should not start with a taxi queue.
